AWARDS
 
  The soldiers of The Sikh Light Infantry are men of action amongst whom gallantry is a time-honoured tradition. The honours and awards earned by them are a reflection, not only of the individual heroism and dedication to service above and beyond the call of duty, but a reflection of the actions of others within the unit who contributed to make their feats memorable. The medals earned are also a manifestation of the respect and admiration that the deed merits.
 
 The honours and awards earned by the regiment are a continuing testimony to its quest for excellence.
